The Little Lodge Company is run
by Leslie Hampson, a qualified carpenter who has extensive experience of producing bespoke timber products and buildings and a deeply held commitment to the natural environment.
Leslie’s love of working with wood is realised in the attention to detail and natural finish of every building he creates. Leslie combines traditional and contemporary design and building techniques, with a passion for working with wood and a breadth of professional experience.
Leslie will work in close liaison with you throughout all stages of development to make the process efficient and the experience enjoyable for everyone involved. Every project is built in close consultation with you, to enable you to share in the building experience and to ensure your timber building sympathetically reflects the natural site in which it is located.
I have a fundamental belief that we should be living more simply and my timber buildings, or lodges, apply the principles of that belief in terms of the construction methods, the materials used and their impact on the world. Ultimately, the aim is to create a natural space that sits lightly on the earth, generates tranquillity and adds to its unique natural environment.

Leslie has always been passionate about working with wood, and a visit to the Centre for Alternative Technology in 2003 inspired him to focus his skills around sustainable building techniques, materials and design. He has continued to focus his approach in this way ever since and it continues to inspire him.
